How many books did you read in 2023?
In a survey of 1500 people in the United States, 46% read zero books.
ZERO.
5% finished one book.
If you read just two books, congratulations.
You are in the top 50% in the U.S.
If you read 10 books, you are in the top 21%.
You have to read 50 books or more to be a one percenter.
In 2023, we read 11 books in the Mastermind Book Club.
If you are a member, you are in the top 20% of readers in the US.
This year my goal is to read at least 12 business-related books and 12 fiction books.
I rarely read fiction books and my wife tells me I need to diversify.
This month in the Mastermind Book Club, we are reading Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.
The club is free to join and we have around 20–30 people show up for our virtual group discussion.
If you don’t have time to read the book, Tom Ruwitch and I read it for you and post a summary in the members’ clubhouse.
This month you will learn there are two systems that drive the way we think.

System 2 is slower, more deliberate, and more logical.
