On Saturday, we’re off for an extended European vacation.

Our trip begins with four days in Paris.

Yesterday, a week before we check into our Paris hotel, they reached out to me with a short email.

Let’s make your stay unforgettable

Dear Ted and Ellen,

Only a few days left before your Parisian break. Adélie and her team are looking forward to welcoming you.

To make your Parisian experience memorable, let these few lines guide you.

The link sent me to a short pre-check-in questionnaire.

They asked what time we would be arriving and how we were getting to the hotel from the airport.

They offered complimentary car service from the airport.

They asked a few questions about our preferences so they could make our stay unforgettable.

At the end of the questionnaire was a list of things to do in Paris so we could plan our daily activities.

Hotels often send you a long, repetitive survey AFTER you check out.

How many hotels welcome you BEFORE you arrive so they can make your stay unforgettable?
