Today I received a message from one of my LinkedIn connections.

This message was different.

I teach my clients to be different and stand out.

How much is too much when it comes to being different?

I connected with this person a few years ago.

He did say “Happy Birthday” in 2021.

Otherwise the usual new connection chit chat then silence for almost two years.

Today he sent me a PDF proposal/contract.

I didn’t download the proposal because, one, I didn’t ask for it and two, I don’t need malware on my computer.

Has anyone hired you after sending this kind of message to your LinkedIn connections?

I know you can start with the end in mind and work backward, but this takes it to a new level.
